Special for Golf fans: in our region and a little further, according to your tastes, you will find the place which pleases you. Indeed, the region offers a large choice of Golf Clubs to discover, with different courses and landscapes, and greens all more beautiful than the others.
Less than 30 minutes away, the closest Golf is the one in Aigle, which is in fact the Golf Club of Montreux. Located below our valley, close to the Lake Geneva and easily reachable in 30 minutes, this Golf course benefits from the climate of the Rhône Valley with a stunning view on the Alps.
This is an 18 hole Gold course. Its length is 6207 meters at an altitude of 395 meters. The club is open all year round, whatever the season. It is often described as the most beautiful Golf in the Alps, soothed by fresh air and drenched with sun. It has the advantage of being flat and offers a very diverse and selective game.
The Montreux Golf Club celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2000. It was opened at the beginning of the century, already in its current location. The course is surrounded by magnificent old trees such as oak, chestnut, beech, pine, birch, …
Reorganized in 2004 by a renowned architect in the field, the course has preserved its character. The flora was very dense ; the architect has succeeded in bringing a more modern touch: change in the disposition of the greens, bunkers, mounds along the fairways ; ponds appear, while deforestation is made to let the mountains appear. The circuits are stretched out and therefore adapted to the departures of most of the championships.
Golf de Lavaux
45 minutes away , the Golf de Lavaux is easily accessible. In the heights of this charming wine region, the domain overlooks the coasts which produce among the best wines of the region.
55 minutes away from Champéry, the Golf de Sierre has 18 wholes and is built on 55 ha. As in Aigle, it is situated along the Rhône. This golf course is respectful of the flora and fauna, where tree species and flowers mix. It is surrounded by the riverbanks of the Brêche and the Corne lakes. The golf courses in the Valais region are lucky to enjoy great landscapes thanks to the surrounding mountains.
Aligned with the fairways, you will be able to enjoy the foothills of Anniviers, Crans-Montana, or even Nendaz, Vercorin, or Nax. You will also discover some majestic peaks such as the Bella Tola, the Bietschorn, the Crêts du Midi, The Dent de Nendaz, the Haut de Cry, the Illhorn, the Mont Noble or the Torrenthorn.
All along the course, golf fans and people who enjoy walking will go through footpaths made for this purpose and will admire a multitude of tree and plant species. Many animals living on the golf and its surroundings are visible depending on the season and the time of the day. The most attentive will listen to the numerous bird species.
50 minutes away, the Golf de Villars is dominating the inferior Valley of the Rhône, at an altitude of 1’660 m, oriented towards the south, facing the Dents-du-Midi and the Mont-Blanc. Founded in 1922, you will find its great view captivating. The Club House welcomes the members and visitors with all the comfort and necessary friendliness.
With 18 holes, its length is 5288m. You will be able to access it easily should you have a green card or an authorization. For the trainings, you will find a sheltered practice. Starting in Spring as of mid-May and until mid-October, the Golf de Villars is accessible everyday.
A little over one hour away… At a height of 1500m, the Golf de Crans-Montana, dominates the Valley of the Rhône. Facing you, you will find some of the highest and most famous peaks such as the Matterhorn and the Mont-Blanc. Surrounded by a majestic landscape, it is in 1906 that some golf pioneers decided to build the first course.
Since then, on those sunny coasts and for the joy of famous golfers, greens continued to grow, seduced by the nice landscapes. There are 4 golf courses. You will find the 18 holes named after its creator, Severiano Ballesteros. It is also where the European Masters happen which is an even impossible to miss.

The Pierre Gianadda Foundation is known in the world for its exhibits of famous artists such as Gauguin, Degas, Van Gogh, Modigliani or Manet. This is an indispensable Museum to visit when stopping in Valais. The foundation welcomes millions of visitors each year.
Maison Cailler Chocolate Factory
Chocolate is probably the most famous and appreciated food in the world, especially Swiss Chocolate! Discover the Maison Cailler spending a few hours learning about the history of Cocoa and its origin; these distant countries full of mysteries around the Aztec tribe. Listen to the Cailler family telling about the beginning of the adventure, the first recipe of chocolate and go through the factory inhaling the scent of chocolate during the production. Don’t worry, you will also be able to taste it!
Alimentarium – the nutrition Museum
What is more common than food and eating?… You will be surprised by the countless discoveries that you will make while visiting this place dedicated to food. Indeed, other than finding out some secrets about food, the Alimentarium also offers the choice to cook; some Workshops suggested by famous chefs from the region happen regularly so that you can enjoy a few special recipes and keep some unforgettable memories.
